1.What this policy covers
In this policy, "we" and "us" mean Careers Craft. "You" means whoever paid: a learner, a parent paying for a child, or an institution.
It covers three kinds of purchase. A paid plan for one learner. An AI credit top-up added to a wallet. An annual per-student subscription bought by a school or college.
This page sits alongside our Terms of Service. Where an institution has signed a separate written agreement or purchase order with us, that document comes first for that institution and this page fills the gaps.
All prices are in Indian rupees. We sell in India and charge Indian GST. We do not price, bill or refund in any other currency.
2.Nothing renews automatically
Every purchase is a single one-time payment for a fixed term. We do not store your card. We do not set up a standing instruction, an e-mandate or any recurring charge. No money is ever taken from you unless you start the payment yourself.
When a term ends, the plan simply stops and the account drops to the Free plan. If you want to carry on, you buy again yourself.
So there is no recurring payment to cancel, and no renewal date you need to beat to avoid being charged.
3.Prices, GST and your invoice
Plan prices are shown before tax. GST at 18% is added on top at checkout. The checkout screen shows the amount before tax, the tax, and the total you will actually pay.
Payments are handled by Razorpay. Your card, UPI or netbanking details are entered inside Razorpay's own checkout and never reach our servers. We keep the payment reference, the amount, the plan, the billing period and the invoice number.
An invoice is created for every successful payment. You can open your payment history and download your own invoices at any time. You cannot see anyone else's.
GST is not charged on AI credit top-ups. The checkout shows no GST on a credit purchase, and the invoice matches what you were shown.
4.Our refund position, and the three exceptions
A paid plan gives you access to working software the moment the payment succeeds. Once that access has been granted, the payment is not refundable.
Three exceptions always apply, whatever else this policy says. In each of these we refund, and you do not have to argue the case:
| Situation | What we do |
|---|---|
| You were charged twice for the same thing | We refund the duplicate payment in full, including the GST charged on it. |
| The payment went through but the access was never given | We either switch on the access you paid for, or refund the payment in full. You choose. |
| We withdraw a plan or a paid feature in the middle of your term | We refund the part of the term you can no longer use. |
5.What we do not refund
Outside the three exceptions above, these are not refundable:
| Not refundable | Why |
|---|---|
| A plan you bought and then did not use | Access was granted and the term was held for you, whether or not you logged in. |
| AI credits you have already spent | Each credit buys real computing time from an AI provider at the moment you use it. That cost cannot be taken back. |
| Time left on a plan you asked us to end early | Ending early is your choice. The term was priced as a whole, not by the day. |
| The value of a discount, coupon or offer | A discount reduces what you pay. It has no cash value and is never paid out. |
| Charges added by your own bank | Fees on your side are set by your bank, not by us. |
6.How to ask for a refund
There is no refund button in the product. Every request is read by a person, so write to us.
Email support@careerscraft.com from the email address on the account, with "Refund request" in the subject line.
Tell us four things: the registered email on the account, the payment reference or invoice number from your payment history, the date and amount, and what went wrong. Without the payment reference we cannot find the transaction.
If the account belongs to someone under 18, a parent or guardian may send the request on their behalf.
Under the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules 2020 we must acknowledge a complaint within 48 hours of receiving it and settle it within one month. We work to those limits.
We acknowledge a refund request within 48 hours and decide it within 7 working days. If we need longer, we tell you why before that deadline rather than after it.
7.How an approved refund reaches you
A refund always goes back to the original payment method, through Razorpay. We cannot send it to a different card, a different bank account, by cheque or as credits.
We can refund the whole payment or part of it, but never more than was actually charged. Each payment can be refunded once, so a partial refund closes that transaction.
A refund includes the GST that was charged on the amount being refunded.
Once we start a refund it is marked as initiated. Razorpay then confirms it as processed or failed, and your record is updated when that confirmation arrives. After that, how quickly it shows on your statement is decided by your bank or card issuer, not by us.
Once approved, the money reaches you in 5 to 7 working days. Part of that is your bank's posting time, which we cannot shorten.
If a refund fails at the bank's end, write to support@careerscraft.com and we will settle it with you directly.
8.Failed payments and money that left your account
If a payment fails, nothing is charged and no plan is switched on. If money did leave your account on a failed payment, your bank normally releases it back within 5 to 7 working days. That money was never collected by us, so it is not a refund and you do not need to request one.
If a payment succeeded but the confirmation did not reach us, a regular check reconciles recent payments and grants what you paid for. If your access has still not appeared, write to us with the payment reference and we will sort it out.
Our checkout refuses a payment we have already recorded, which stops most accidental double charges before they happen. If a duplicate still gets through, it falls under the exceptions above and we refund it.
9.Ending a paid plan early
Because nothing renews, you do not need to do anything to stop future charges. Letting the term run out is the normal way to leave, and it costs you nothing.
If you want your paid access ended before the term finishes, write to support@careerscraft.com. An administrator will end it for you. There is no self-service cancel button in the product, and we would rather tell you that than pretend otherwise.
Ending a plan early moves the account to Free straight away. By itself it does not create a refund. The three exceptions above still apply if one of them fits your case.
You cannot move to a cheaper plan or change your billing period in the middle of a term. You can do either once the current term ends.
You can upgrade during a term. We charge the difference for the time left, adjusted for the AI allowance you have already used. Your existing end date does not change, so an upgrade does not extend or restart the term.
10.AI credit top-ups
AI credits are bought as a top-up to a wallet on the account. A top-up is not a subscription and has no term.
Credits do not expire. They stay on the account after a plan ends, and they are used only once the allowance included in your plan has run out.
Credits are not money. They cannot be moved to another account, sold, or paid out as cash.
Once credits have been added to a wallet, the top-up is not refundable, except in the three cases listed above.
A parent can buy credits into a linked child's wallet. The buyer is the parent, so any refund goes back to the parent's payment method, not to the child's.
11.Your work and your records after a plan ends
When a plan ends we do not delete your work. Resumes, reports, portfolios, chats and test results stay in the account. The Free plan limits what you can create and publish, and paid features stop, but nothing you have made is thrown away.
A portfolio you have already published stays online until you unpublish it yourself.
Closing the account is a different thing. You can delete your own account from settings, and a guardian can do it for a linked child. Deleting the account removes your payment history from the product, so you can no longer open or download your invoices here.
So download any invoice you need for tax, reimbursement or school records before you delete the account. You can also export your data from settings first. We cannot rebuild that history for you afterwards.
Invoice and transaction records are kept for eight years from the end of the financial year in which the payment was made, because GST and income tax law require it. Those records are retained even after an account is deleted, with the link to the deleted account removed, so what remains is the financial record the law obliges us to hold and not a profile of you.
12.Schools, colleges and other institutions
Institution subscriptions are priced per student for a term of 12 months, counted from the payment that activates them. Prices are before tax, and GST at 18% is added.
| Item | Terms |
|---|---|
| Price | Starter Rs. 9,000, Pro Rs. 9,000 and Premium Rs. 11,500, per student per year, before GST. Starter is not sold through online checkout, so ask us for it. |
| Term | 12 months from the activating payment. It does not renew by itself and nothing is auto-charged at the end. |
| Student places | You cannot pay for fewer student places than the number of students already enrolled on the platform. The ceiling is 10,000 students on one subscription. |
| Free trial | A new institution starts on a one-month free trial of the Pro plan, capped at 25 students. Nothing is charged for it and nothing is owed when it ends. |
| Payment routes | Razorpay checkout, three installments, or a bank transfer by NEFT. A bill above Rs. 1,00,00,000 must use installments or bank transfer. |
| Installments | The first installment is due on the purchase date and carries no interest. The second and third carry 3% per month on the reducing balance. |
| Late payment | An overdue installment accrues a late fee of 4% per month, worked out daily. |
| Suspension | If an installment is three days or more overdue, the institution's subscription is suspended and every student of that institution falls back to the Free plan until it is paid. |
| Coupons | A coupon applies only to a first activation payment, can be used once, and expires 24 hours after it is issued. |
13.Paying by bank transfer, and institution refunds
We say the suspension rule plainly because it deserves to be read twice: a missed installment drops the students back to the Free plan, most of whom are minors, and not only the person who missed the payment. Their work is not deleted, but the paid features stop. We email reminders before that point, and we would always rather be told about a delay than enforce it.
An institution paying by bank transfer first registers its bank account with us. You transfer Rs. 1 to our account and give us the account number, IFSC, bank name, account holder name and the reference number of that Rs. 1 transfer. A member of our team checks it and either confirms it or rejects it with a reason.
Once the account is confirmed, you make the full transfer and submit a claim with the student count, the transfer reference number and a screenshot if you have one. Only one claim can be pending at a time.
Every transfer is verified by hand. The 12-month term starts, and the invoice is issued, when we have verified the transfer, not on the day you sent the money. Bank transfers are not instant, so allow for that when you plan a start date.
If a verified transfer is later found to be wrong, we can reopen it. Reopening switches off the subscription that transfer paid for, and we will tell you before we do it.
The one rupee you transfer to verify a bank account is returned to you. It is credited against your bill, so the amount you pay is reduced by it. We do not keep it.
To cancel mid-term, tell support in writing. There is no self-serve cancellation, because a mid-term exit affects every student account on the plan and we would rather handle it with a person. Thirty days notice applies. No part-year refund is offered beyond the three exceptions above.
14.If you disagree with a decision
If a refund decision does not sit right with you, say so. Take it to our grievance officer, who will look at it again.

We must acknowledge a complaint within 48 hours and settle it within one month under the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules 2020. The Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules 2021 place a similar duty on us for grievances about the platform itself.
If you are still not satisfied, you can take the matter to a consumer commission under the Consumer Protection Act 2019, or call the National Consumer Helpline on 1915. Nothing on this page takes away a right you have under that Act.
15.Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, the new version is published on this page and the date at the top is updated.
A change does not reach backwards. The version of this policy that was in force on the day you paid is the one that applies to that payment.
